We are a dynamic, and rapidly growing research team, based at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), working at the forefront of translational and clinical cancer research. Our mission is to shape the future of investigator-initiated clinical trials and bring innovations to improve patient outcomes.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our vibrant international team on January 1, 2026. Reporting directly to the Principal Investigator and working alongside a team of doctoral students and clinical researchers, you will provide essential technical support to our scientists and contribute directly to the success of translational research projects in a state-of-the-art facility. The position is initially limited to one year.

Your tasks:
- Perform and support laboratory procedures, including molecular biology and cell culture and carry out immunohistochemistry (IHC) on tissue samples
- Establish and maintain 3D organoid cultures and prepare and maintain reagents, solutions, and laboratory stocks
- Ensure proper documentation of experiments, sample tracking, and data management
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and inventory
- Support researchers with experimental setups and protocol execution
Your profile:
- Completed training as a laboratory technician (e.g., BTA, MTA, CTA) or equivalent qualification
- Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology, cell biology, immunohistochemistry, and/or organoid culture
- Experience in animal research is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team and good communication skills in English and German
