Join the Institute for Cardiogenetics in Lübeck and become part of our team from 1 September 2026 on an initial three-year fixed-term contract.

What you can expect:
- Development and implementation of innovative research projects in the field of cardiovascular disease modeling and novel therapeutic strategies
- Development and application of stem cell-based disease models, including iPSC-derived cardiac, kidney and liver cell, and organoid systems
- Active participation in the EU -funded project “CURE SHOCK”
- Leading an independent research group with responsibility for scientific strategy, acquisition of third-party funding, publication of high-impact research
- Supervision of junior researchers and development of national and international academic as well as public-private collaborations and networks
What we expect:
- PhD in biomedical sciences (or a related discipline) with training in biogenetic engineering
- Proven leadership experience, including independent scientific project management, team leadership, and acquisition of substantial third-party funding
- Strong expertise in translational cardiovascular disease modeling (in vivo and advanced in vitro), high-throughput screening technologies, and multi-omics approaches
- Strong interest in translational and interdisciplinary research
- Excellent communication skills, international experience, and very good written and spoken English
